To ensure continuous personal growth and support, students have frequent touchbase sessions with their Pathway Partner. These regular meetings provide a space for students to discuss their progress, address any challenges they may be facing, and set personal and academic goals. The Mentorship Guide works closely with each student to help them navigate their educational journey, providing tailored advice and emotional support.
At Cognia Academy, students are allocated to groups (classes) of 15 students, each guided by a dedicated Pathway Partner. This small group dynamic ensures personalised attention and fosters a close-knit community where students can thrive.
Each students planner is comprised of a 30-hour weekly structure which ensures that students have a balanced schedule that supports their academic growth, skill development, and community involvement. These time allocations ensure that students complete their course-work within 8.5 months, leaving ample time for revision and preparation for exams, as well as holidays.
Students regularly participate in debates, group discussions, and activities that extend beyond their academic work. These experiences help communication, and them develop collaboration critical skills, thinking, also encouraging them to explore diverse perspectives and ideas.
Community engagement is a core component of student life at Cognia Academy. Students take part in community service projects, enrichment sessions, and social initiatives that foster empathy, civic responsibility, and a commitment to making a positive impact on the world.
Every three months, students participate in incursions and excursions that are included as part of their fees. These experiences are designed to enhance life skills, cultural awareness, community involvement, and holistic development. Whether exploring a local cultural site, engaging in outdoor education, or participating in a community project, students gain valuable real-world experience that enriches their learning journey.
Each year, Cognia Academy students embark on an annual camp, an adventurous journey that takes them to different areas across the country. This camp is a key aspect of their holistic development, covering culture, mastery, life skills, social development, and self-discovery. The camp experience is designed to challenge students, build resilience, and foster deep connections with their peers, all while exploring the rich cultural and natural landscapes of the country.
